A narrow bar that had to seat forty. We pushed the service line to one wall and let the seating curve around the plan of the room, so staff never cross a guest to reach the taps. The ribbed oak front and the velvet banquette do the acoustic work; the terrazzo floor takes the wear. Light hangs low, in three layers, so the room reads warm from the street.
